This Privacy Policy describes how Inndea Technologies ("Inndea," "we," "us") handles information when you use the Brighten mobile application (the "App").

1. Scope

This Policy applies to the Brighten app on iOS and Android.

2. Core Privacy Model

Brighten is designed as a local-first app. Your task, note, reminder, and profile data is stored on your device (SQLite/local files) and is not sent to Inndea servers by default.

3. Information You Provide

Depending on how you use Brighten, you may provide:

• Task and note content you type.
• Reminder details and due dates.
• Optional profile data (name, phone number, email, profile image).
• Optional feedback details (category, subject, message, optional reply email) if you choose to send feedback.

4. Device Permissions and Why We Request Them

Brighten may request the following permissions:

• Notifications: To send local reminder notifications at times you select.
• Microphone/Speech Recognition: To convert your spoken input to task text when voice input is used.
• Photo Library/Media Access: To let you pick a profile image from your device.

You can deny or revoke permissions in your device settings.

5. How Data Is Used

We use information only to provide app functionality, including:

• Creating, updating, organizing, and displaying your tasks and notes.
• Scheduling reminder notifications you configure.
• Storing your selected app settings (for example, theme and reminder preferences).
• Opening your email client when you submit feedback.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information.

Because Brighten is local-first, we do not operate a remote backend for your in-app content by default. Data may be processed by platform providers or your chosen email provider only when you use OS-level features (for example, notification delivery, speech recognition services, or sending feedback through your email app).

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Your in-app data remains on your device until you modify, delete, or uninstall the App.

• Deleting or archiving items in-app updates local records.
• Uninstalling the App typically removes local app data, subject to your OS backup/restore behavior.

8. Security

We use reasonable measures appropriate for a local-first app design. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure.

9. Children's Privacy

Brighten is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a remote service.

10. International Users

If OS services (for example, push/speech services) process information, that processing is controlled by the relevant platform provider terms and infrastructure.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Since core data is stored locally on your device, you can directly edit or delete it in the App.

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above.
